African Ebony

Very hard, extremely dense, very heavy. Very even black color, very little light grain as each piece is hand picked. This wood is well suited for turned face plugs and all other styles. A body jewelry classic, this wood is quite rare and thus a bit more expensive - but not unreasonably so! Contact us for information on pricing. |

Purple Heart
|
Very dense, medium weight, very hard. Purple heart is more of a brownish color when it is first harvested. The purple hue develops with exposure to air. After turning much of this color is lost again, but I often treat it with a special, all natural process to bring back the rich purple this wood is famous for. No dyes or stains are used in this process. Wood can be left untreated if desired, bearing in mind the color may or may not develop on its own with time. Treated wood is subject to an additional fee.Contact us for information on pricing. |

Tagua Nut

Also know as vegan ivory or vegetable ivory, tagua nut is an interesting alternative to bone or ivory. The texture is very similar to ivory and it darkens as it is worn in a similar manner. |
